And lo, the infamous double standard strikes again.
If a Christian posts derogatory bullshit about atheists on their Facebook, it’s all okay and just a lighthearted joke.
If an atheist posts derogatory bullshit about Christians on Facebook, it’s hurtful, spiteful and just plain antagonistic.
I LOVE MY SOCIETY HOORAY.
Also known as I WANT TO FUCKING DROWN MYSELF IN LAKE WATER.
If religion didn’t dominate THE ENTIRE WORLD, I genuinely believe it would be a better place.
So… why is it, then, that when I post stuff making fun of the ridiculousness of atheists, it’s horribly offensive and divisive and mean, etc, etc… And atheists on tumblr write things and create memes that mock and insult Christianity, but that’s all in good fun!
Yeah, I know this double standard. It’s called ignoring things that aren’t affecting you.
When I put up memes mocking and insulting Christianity, I’m not doing it in “good fun”
I mean it with all of my heart <33
It’s also different because you rarely if ever hear cases of atheists raping little boys or starting wars with people of different ideals.

When the president does it, that means that it is not illegal.
“By definition?”
Exactly.

I guess it’s because I don’t post as much. Oh well.
I wouldn’t say that’s strictly true. There are often many different scientific theories as to the workings of certain phenomenon, however the difference is that as soon as compelling evidence is presented, conflicting theories give way.

Grow up.

A common misconception is that atheists are alone, because we don’t have a ‘relationship with god’. That couldn’t be more wrong.
That’s like saying “Oh, you Christians don’t have a relationship with Zeus? You must feel so alone. I can’t imagine how empty I’d be without Zeus.”

Teenage Girl Was Kidnapped For Vatican Sex Parties. -
The Holy See was directly involved in thedisappearance of 15-year-old Emanuela Orlandi in 1983, according to a contentious accusation by the Catholic Church’s leading exorcist. The Rev. Gabriele Amorth claimed that the girl’s kidnapping was a “crime of a sexual nature.”
“Parties were organized, with a Vatican gendarme acting as the ‘recruiter’ of the girls,” Amorth told La Stampa, according to a translation by The Telegraph. “The network involved diplomatic personnel from a foreign embassy to the Holy See. I believe Emanuela ended up a victim of this circle.”
What the actual fuck.
Way to go, Vatican.

You’re being a hypocrite dummy. I won’t shove my beliefs down your throat if you do the same
Making fun of a religion isn’t the same as preaching. That’s like if I made fun of a movie you liked and you accused me of trying to make you never watch movies ever again. Besides, atheism isn’t a religion, so there’s that.

oh okay cool i didn’t know atheists worshiped prescription medicine.
We actually do. In the Atheist Bible in the book of Dawkins chapter 3 it says “Bow thee down to prescription medicine, for those who have faith shall be healed of all illness.”
