I think about religion the same way I think about cigarettes.

I don’t smoke, and I don’t have a problem with people smoking around me, although sometimes it’ll be a bit much and I’ll either ask them to keep their distance or I’ll distance myself.

I feel like the world population as a whole would be healthier if cigarettes didn’t exist.

Yeah, they’re harmful and deadly, but what you do with your body is your business.

If, however, you’re going to kill, maim, ostracize, or insult people who smoke a different brand (or in my case, no brand), then we have a problem.

If you blow cigarette smoke in my face (or anyone’s face), I’m going to tell you to fuck off.

If you’re going to force your child to smoke so he or she gets addicted, then I’m going to be angry.

If you try to teach children in schools that cigarettes are healthy, then I’m going to be up in your face.

If you’re going to tell anyone that they’re going to live a less fulfilling life, or a shorter life, or an immoral life, that they’re unpatriotic because they’re not smoking, then I’m going to be furious.

You want to believe in a god? Fine. Just keep your unhealthy habits to yourself.
