How many people have been burned alive, tortured, raped, and assaulted in the name of religion? Entire genocides have been justified by religion, as well as RAPE, WAR, AND MURDER. Often times the previously stated, DID NOT EXCLUDE CHILDREN. Now how many wars have been fought in the name of atheism? And how many people have been burned alive, tortured, raped, and assaulted in the name of atheism? None. How many children harmed in the name of atheism? NONE. Thus far there has not been a single account of a person committing the crimes that religion has committed in the name of atheism. This entire argument is constructed to misconstrue atheism something that is not, in order to make it as unattractive as religious doctrine depicts as being. This is fear. Religious fear, that there is something out there…promoting free thought and independent thought, and that is actually more MORAL than religion in itself. Fear that logic and knowledge is going to cause religion to go extinct. In that regard, you have every right to be afraid and I completely understand why you would blatantly LIE about shit.  ^^seconded.
